Sallie Goetsch speaking at the East Bay WordPress Meetup

I speak to groups about WordPress frequently—my own East Bay WordPress Meetup, of course, but others like the Breakfast Blogging Club. I love WordPress and I love teaching. You can find me answering questions at the Meetup on the third Sunday of every month at Tech Liminal in Oakland. We meet from 1-3 PM. Sometimes I give the main presentation as well, but I prefer to have others come in to share their expertise.

I also do individual WordPress training, both as part of development packages for clients,  or for people who already have sites but need to know how to use them. Sometimes the sessions are live, but just as often conducted via screen sharing across distances.

I’ve started producing video tutorials with Camtasia, like this short introduction to widgets, and have just written and recorded a series of twelve videos for Peachpit Press as part of their Visual Quickstart series. The videos are a companion to WordPress: Visual Quickstart Guide, Second Edition, due in October 2011, and will also appear in the enhanced e-book.
