WordPress devs and DIY enthusiasts may want to know what—besides WordPress itself—powers this site. Here’s the list (at least at the time of building; I can’t promise to update it continually).

After years of trying to find time to update my portfolio site (the old one was increasingly painful to behold, not to mention outdated), I decided it was time to put Carrie Dils’ Utility Pro theme (and her helpful tutorials about modifying the home page) to the test. I was also keen to see how well the new Genesis Featured Posts Combo plugin worked. (Pretty well, in fact.)

One of the things I liked about the theme I chose 2 years ago for the site upgrade was its filterable portfolio. Lo and behold, the amazing Sridhar Katakam provided a tutorial on how to build one. (If you build Genesis sites and are at the “Google-it Developer” stage, the membership fee for Sridhar’s tutorials is worth every penny.)
