This site uses the Lookbook theme from Graph Paper Press. I mostly work with Genesis, but GPP has some great themes for photographers, and Claudette needed a quick budget portfolio for her photography and restoration business, Through the Lenz (spelling due to domain constraints).
Most of the work in building this site was in sizing and compressing images, as well as having them scanned: much of Claudette’s early wedding photography took place in the days of film.
I believe Through the Lenz sets a record for the smallest number of plugins I have ever used on a WordPress site.
It was important to Claudette to be able to show portrait-oriented photos on the home page, because most of her work is portraits and wedding photography. The masonry layout of Lookbook’s home page worked extremely well, as did the interior gallery posts.
I made almost no modifications and it looks lovely. (It’s a wide rather than a tall site, though, not well suited to my narrow portfolio image size.)
