I’m Speaking at WordCamp Sacramento 2017

This entry is part 11 of 17 in the series WordCamps

I’m delighted to say that I’ll be back at WordCamp Sacramento again this year. My topic is “Building a Journalist-Friendly Online Pressroom with WordPress.” (I know a lot of PR people thanks to the FIR Podcast, and have built pressrooms for several client sites recently.)

I’m speaking at the end of the day on Sunday, so I imagine a lot of people will have wilted by then. I just need to make sure I’m not one of them! But as the organizers are sensibly requiring us to submit our slides in advance, at least I’ll be prepared and able to take in the great speakers ahead of me.

Amanda McCoy, a colleague and member of the East Bay WordPress Meetup, is a first-time speaker this year. She’s doing a lightning talk on creating a color palette for your website.

Several members of the WP-Tonic posse will also be at WordCamp Sacramento 2017: Adam Silver, who was part of the panel in its first incarnation, Jonathan Denwood, John Locke, Kim Shivler, and Mendel Kurland. We might–might–manage to record a short live episode.

This year’s WCSAC is at a larger venue than last year, so there are still tickets available. I’d love to see you there!
